Great and helpful post! I know that I do need to try a rose again. Maybe it's the color that makes people think sweet. When we drank our rose, my husband mentioned that he was a little disappointed that it didn't taste like bubble gum!
Definitely worth giving some more a try! There's a lot of diversity in rosé (as with any wine category) but it does fall victim sometimes to its own reputation: cheap, girly, sweet... I've certainly had some underwhelming rosés in the past too - hope your next is more memorable!
