A short update this week because I’ve been busy with another wine writing project that’s probably just as unlikely to net me any real income as the rest of them. But crashing on regardless!
For those of you who don’t know much about me, I was born in the UK but I’ve been living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands for most of my adult life – the past 18 years of which I’ve had a blog (remember them?) called Amsterdam Foodie. I’ve been collecting restaurant reviews on there for a very long time, but more recently I started collecting information about wine bars, wine lists in restaurants, wine shops and so on as well. Then last summer, I decided to turn all that knowledge into an e-book. It took me until now to actually finish it, but finally it’s published!
I realise that a lot of you on Substack do not live in the Netherlands. But on the off-chance that you might be planning to visit my canal-mazed, bike-strewn city sometime soon, I thought I’d share the link to the guide: amsterdamfoodie.nl/product/amsterdam-wine-guide
It costs less than a decent glass of wine in a bar, and about the same as a monthly subscription to The Wine Edit will cost when I finally get around to going paid. So if you’d like to support my work in the meantime, this would be a good way to do it.
Thanks for reading, cheers and proost, as we say in Dutch!
Wow!! This is very good idea and your guide is perfect for me :) Ordered! You're already professional Substacker! I have learned from you, very much!
Love this idea! Just ordered a copy, it will give us an excuse to visit Amsterdam!
